Can you identify with the whole teenage runaway attitude that you have in the film?
Kristen:
I feel like [running away] was so not thought out. It's a pretty courageous thing to do to get in that car. And especially for a young girl, it can be considered silly. But I can identify with her in that she is doing something that is dangerous but that will ultimately be absolutely worth it. I can absolutely relate to that.

Kristen, your character is into ballet in the movie. Did you have to take any ballet classes to prepare?
Kristen: Yeah. Something that was initially really daunting about the character was that she loved to dance and that she really used her physicality as a means of control and power. Before I did this movie I don't think I did a two-step. So I took some ballet lessons from these really hardcore ballerinas, but what I always thought about the character was that she wasn't really one to take a class. She sort of was like, "I really wanna do that." So then I didn't have to say that I was a trained ballerina, which I would never ever be able to accomplish in the two weeks that we had before we started shooting.
Eddie: Remember how obsessed you became with your dance shoes, though? Jazz pumps. You became obsessed.
Kristen: I have like, 16 pairs of these little white Capezios.

Jodie Foster rekomenderade Kristen
PopEater har en artikel om hur Jodie Foster fick regissören till The Yellow Handkerchief att välja Kristen till rollen som Martine.
"Nobody wanted me to take (Stewart) in the part of Martine, she was practically an unknown," Cohn told the press at "The Yellow Handkerchief's" press day. "But Jodie Foster, a close friend, urged me to take her."
"So I took her."
He repeated the same thoughts in the film's official press notes which state that Foster "recommended" Stewart for the part. "I followed Jodie's advice because she's a great actress and director," Cohn is quoted as saying in the notes.

Datum satta för The Runaways premiärer
Det kommer att bli två röda mattan-premiärer för The Runaways. Den första är i Los Angeles den 11 mars (bara två veckor dit!) och den andra i New York den 17 mars.
För USA börjar den visas för allmänheten den 19 mars. Vi i Svergie måste dock vänta ända till augusti. Med största sannolikhet kommer det att bli 15-års gräns på den. I USA är den R-rated (från 18 år). Men den högsta gränsen som finns i Sverige på filmer är 15.

Ny TV Spot för The Runaways!
Angående rykten om Robsten
Hur många gånger har inte rykten cirkulerat om Robsten? Antagligen är det här också bara ett trick från en tidning som vill ha uppmärksamhet och sälja mer. Det är så det går till. Jag har för mig att det var The Sun som skrev att Kristen var gravid också.
Med det här sagt behöver det inte betyda att Kristen och Robert inte är tillsammans, men inte heller att de är det. Det är fortfarande oklart hur det ligger till. Jo, det finns en liten chans till att Robs uttalande faktiskt ägde rum. Men när de i så fall bekräftar det för en seriös källa, då skriver jag om det. På riktigt.
Jag hoppas att ingen tar illa upp av detta inlägg. Jag försöker bara att reda ut lite av förvirringen och förklara hur det ligger till.

Robsten lämnade efterfesten tillsammans
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart left the BAFTAs afterparty together last night after they'd celebrated her Orange rising star award win for a while. The pair made their way through the photographers and fans to the afterparty separately, but they left together in the back of a car as you can see! Perhaps the gorgeous are they or aren't they couple will follow in the footsteps of Jamie Campbell Bower and Bonnie Wright soon and let us all know if anything's really going on? Still, what a fantastic night for the pair of them!

Tonight Twilight Saga actress and superstar in the making, Kristen Stewart, beat off stern competition to scoop the Orange Rising Star Award 2010.
In demand as she is, we had five minutes to quiz her about her triumph at tonight's Orange British Academy Film Awards...
The Orange Rising Star Award is the only BAFTA award that's voted for by the public: what does it feel like to have such overwhelming support here in the UK?
It feels really good. Twilight really is a phenomenon and this is a tribute to that. And at the same time, I'm so proud to be part of a generation of people that are so good, you know, it's really incredible. It's nice to see a good crop.

Orange is proud to announce that the public have voted in their tens of thousands to crown Kristen Stewart as 2010’s Orange Rising Star Award winner.
The Orange Rising Star Award is the only publicly voted award presented at the Orange British Academy Film Awards. Kristen was one of five international actors and actresses nominated for their exceptional talent and recognised as a star in the making. The other nominees were: Jesse Eisenberg, Nicholas Hoult, Carey Mulligan and Tahar Rahim.
Stewart was spotted by a casting agent at the age of eight and went on to star in her first feature film Panic Room in 2002. She has had an astronomical rise to fame since starring in the Twilight saga, in her role as protagonist Isabella ‘Bella’ Swan. A cultural phenomenon, the first of the Twilight saga was released in 2008 grossing $382 million at box offices worldwide and affirming Kristen Stewart as a true one to watch. In 2010, we will see her take on a new role as Joan Jett, lead singer of the first all-girl rock band, in Sundance hit The Runaways.

Här kommer ett utdrag från en intervju med Kristen och Eddie Redmayne (Kristens co-star i The Yellow Handkerchief).
Q: This was probably your first big lead role in a film. Was that an adjustment to play the lead at that time?
Kristen: Anytime you have to play a person who is not yourself, you’re stepping out of a comfort zone but that’s what we do and if the role is bigger that’s just more to chew on and that’s always good.
Eddie: There is more of a sense of responsibility. What was great about this film is that it’s an ensemble piece in the sense that it really is about the four of us, I’m certain Kristen and I felt in incredibly safe hands having William (Hurt) and Maria (Bello) around us and because of the intensity of the film, having three of us in a car for three months shooting, we ended up being close as a trio which is wonderful because any fears or problems you have, you have the other two to turn to.

"I followed Jodie's advice because she's a great actress and director," Cohn said of casting Stewart in "Handkerchief," a love story featuring old and new romances blossoming side by side. "Kristen had an enormous sensitivity for an extremely difficult part. With all respect to 'Twilight,' I think this part was infinitely harder to pull off."
Making matters more interesting, Kristen was only 15 when she landed the role. It wasn't until "Handkerchief" hit Sundance in 2008 that she was even cast in the "Twilight Saga" films. But with all due respect to her producer, Stewart disagreed with his thoughts on which role was more difficult to pull off.
"No, I would say definitely not," Stewart insisted, claiming that Bella is the more complicated portrayal from an actor's point of view. "It's so hard to compare roles — this was difficult for other reasons.
"It was so much smaller, it was so personal," Kristen remembered of the "Handkerchief" shoot in New Orleans in 2007.

Q: Did you know this film was based on a Japanese film, and did you see that original film?
Kristen: I knew it was based on a Japanese original, but didn't watch it because apparently it was just starkly different. It was just a different movie completely.
Q: What was producer Arthur Cohn's involvement with the film?
Kristen: He had such a faith in the material. He has a very old school sense of, "I'm the producer and I'm going to take care of everybody, and the most important thing here is the movie, the performances, and chocolate and watches."

Utvärdering av Kristen S #1
Tycker ni att det är något som saknas på sidan? Chatbox, forum eller bildgalleri kanske? Jag vill att sidan ska vara så bra som möjligt så uppskattar kommentarer om vad jag kan förbättra / ändra.
Bildgalleri har jag dock försökt att fixa, och jag fortsätter att försöka. Men de flesta beskrivningar på hur man skapar, redigerar och laddar upp i galleriet är på väldigt invecklad engelska. Är inte så att jag är väldigt dålig på engelska men det är skrivet med mycket förkortningar och dataspråk. På svenska kan det vara okej men vart tusan lär man sig engelska dataförkortningar? Inte i nian i alla fall...
Hur som helst:
- Vad saknas?
- Vad kan ändras?
- Ska jag ha frågestunder någon gång?
- Skriva mer / mindre om något?

Igår (16/2) syntes Kristen med Sean Penn, som regisserade filmen Into the Wild (2007) som Kris hade en roll i. De bara "sprang på varandra", här är ett utdrag ur en artikel om detta:
Today we caught Kristen Stewart arriving for a meeting at the Montage Beverly Hills, and she just happened to bump into Sean as she stepped out of her green Mini Cooper!

Filmtips: "Twilight" & "What just Happened"
Twilight kommer att visas på TV1000 Drama klockan 23:00 imorgon [13 februari].
Och natten mellan lördag och söndag vid 04:00 visas What Just Happened? på TV1000. Kristen har bara en liten roll i den, men det kan ändå vara kul att se. Handling nedan.
Hollywood-producenten Ben är mitt uppe i tuffa förhandlingar med en stor distributör. Han hoppas att hans rulle ska kunna visas på filmfestivalen i Cannes om två veckor. Men han har flera problem som måste lösas.

The Runaways på ännu en filmfestival
The Runaways har premiär i USA den 19 mars. Men Walker Art Center kommer att visa filmen redan den 13 mars i samband med Women With Vision International Film Festival.

Breaking Dawn till två filmer?
I have this from several sources, and it's definitive. Filming on the back-to-back movies would begin in mid-October, and Summit Entertainment is looking at "high end" directors. Breaking Dawn is the longest in Stephenie Meyer's 4-book series lengthwise and it's the most graphic -- presenting birth, attempted murder, death, and of course vampire bites. Published on August 2, 2008, it has a happy ending for most of the characters. Divided into 3 parts, the 1st and 3rd sections are told from the point of view of Bella (Kristen Stewart), and the second section from the perspective of Jacob (Taylor Lautner). It prominently features all 3 favorite characters including Edward (Robert Pattinson).

Kristen är på omslaget av tidningen Julia (tillsammans med Robert Pattinson). Det är nummer 3 2010 som ni ska leta efter! Tidningen kom ut idag, men nästa nummer kommer ut redan 25 februari så det gäller att inte ta allt för lång tid på sig innan man pallar sig iväg till affärn.

Dåligt med nyheter
Jag tycker i alla fall att de kan ta tag i att spela in K-11 nu i så fall! Inspelningen till den filmen skulle börjat i januari men det sköts upp. Varför inte ta tag i det nu istället?
K-11 är en film som handlar om ett slags "fängelse", aka K-11, i Los Angeles där lite annorlunda personer har blivit placerade. Vi har inte fått veta speciellt mycket om den här filmen tyvärr. Men Kstew ska spela en person som kallas för Butterfly*! Även Nikki Reed, som spelar Rosalie i The Twilight saga, kommer att medverka. Likaså Jason Mewes. Jag har för mig att Kristens mamma Jules Mann Stewart ska regissera filmen.

ContentFilm International äger numera de internationella rättigheternas till Welcome to the Rileys! De nordamerikanska rättigeheterna till filmen förhandlas med UTA’S Independent Film Group. Nu är det bara att hoppas på att WTTR når Sverige!
The festival crowds have dispersed, but the dealmaking goes on. A pair of post-Sundance deals were announced in tandem on Friday.
ContentFilm International has acquired international rights to "Welcome to the Rileys," the heavy drama starring James Gandolfini and Kristen Stewart that premiered at Sundance.
North American rights are being handled by UTA’S Independent Film Group.

We talked to makeup department head for the film, Robin Mathews, about the looks she created on Stewart and Dakota Fanning, who plays Jett’s bandmate Cherie Currie. “Joan Jett and Cherie Currie weren’t really into lipstick because it was such a pain in the ass to keep on,” says Mathews, “so the look of The Runaways is all about the eyes.” And though Stewart and Fanning aren’t big makeup girls themselves—“neither of them needs a stitch of makeup” says Mathews—they got so into the characters that they even did what they needed to get the look right. “Sometimes we’d apply Kristen’s eyeliner at night, then she’d sleep in it, and it was in all the right creases in the morning when she came to the set,” says Mathews, who used Make Up For Ever products. “When she’d come in after sleeping in black kohl liner, I’d blend and smudge it out with a brown eye shadow and a small stiff eye shadow brush on the top lid and under the eye."

Tween Twilight fans may have fueled the intense interest in New Moon star Kristen Stewart, but they’re going to be locked out of the actress’s next films: the R-rated The Runaways, the Joan Jett-Cherie Currie biopic with her New Moon costar Dakota Fanning (due in theaters March 19), and Welcome to the Rileys, which both screened at the Sundance Film Festival recently.
At the film fest in Park City, Utah, the 19-year-old wore skinny jeans and sneakers in the snow and a khaki jacket she pulled close against the endless cold. She had that rebel without a cause vibe, a junior James Dean. This was not an actress racing toward couture and acclaim, but nervously holding herself together, knees thrumming uncontrollably, until she could slip behind her next part.

Tydligen var det en visning av The Runaways i New York igår kväll. En reporter på Vanity Fair såg filmen och har skrivit en recension om TR. Bra ord om Kristen. Härligt! Ett utdrag kommer här nedanför. Läs hela recensionen här.
Aggressive, raw, and amped up on frenetic—and sexual—hunched-punk intensity, Stewart’s Jett smokes, snorts, and struts with abandon, her energy centered strategically in her pelvis. (I can’t wait to see what the Twi-hards make of this!) A favorite scene—and there were many—takes place in the bathroom where Jett gives a blasé “lesson” to one of her band mates about how to pleasure oneself with a shower head while visualizing Farrah Fawcett. This is a woman who revels in her well-earned bad reputation. “I want what he’s wearing,” she says, and she is never disappointed.

In some ways this film so closely mirrors my own experience that it is hard for me to judge it objectively. It doesn't really matter though, because like a light beer on a hot day, this one goes down so easily. The film is set during the summer of 1987 primarily at a lame Pittsburg amusement park (I spent that same summer making snow cones at a lame Cleveland amusement park for $3 an hour). The story focuses on the always lovable Jesse Eisenberg who was supposed to have been traveling around Europe using his college graduation money, which he never got because his father lost his job, and instead mans a game booth with the same insufferable music blaring all summer long.
Unlike the endless films of its kind, where a geek falls for a beautiful girl who is in love with the wrong guy, this film feels more like swan song from the late John Hughes. The film's hugely appealing cast stretches the thin plot into something nostalgic and authentic, with the pitch perfect soundtrack and the kind of nerdy naiveté from the 80's now seen from a distance. Perhaps this isn't a masterwork like Sixteen Candles or The Breakfast Club but there haven't been many since then that capture a moment in time so carefully.

Kristen Stewart has called her turn as a teen runaway-turned-stripper and prostitute in "Welcome to the Rileys" the most personal performance of her career. According to director Jake Scott, audiences will see an entirely new side of the "Twilight" superstar in the indie flick.
"It's an emotionally naked performance," Scott told MTV News at the Sundance Film Festival. "She really exposed herself in that way."

WELCOME TO THE RILEYS is a film that I really loved at this year's Sundance. It is directed by Jake Scott and stars James Gandolfini, Kristen Stewart, and Melissa Leo. Welcome to the Rileys follows the story of Doug Riley, a married man, who while taking a business trip in New Orleans, starts an unlikely friendship with an underage stripper, Mallory (Kristen Stewart). He tells his wife, Lois (Melissa Leo) that he won't come home for a while and she decides to take a trip to New Orleans to reclaim her marriage. Now this might seem like an ok story, but add on top of that the fact Doug and Lois lost their teenage daughter, that Lois hasn't left the house ever since, and the fact that Mallory reminds Doug of his daughter, and you have Welcome to the Rileys.
